Turkish steel pipe exports fall in Q1- The 19th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l tube & pipe Processing Equipment Exhibition

According to the statistics, Turkey exported around 437,000 tons of steel pipes in the first quarter this year, down by 10.1% year on year, mainly due to the sharp drop in the exports to Iraq, one of the major export markets for Turkey.
The exports to the US also decreased by 25% to 37,000 tons because of the concern of US’s 232 tariffs.
The Turkish Steel Exporters'' Association (CIB) stated that Turkish mills re-exported steel pipes to the US as the steel prices in the US rose significantly.
